The Inspection Shaft is an integral part of the sewer system located normally at the very rear or front of the property. It is above ground and is a specially designed to sight that the drain is running clear before entering the Ministers sewer. Growing trees close by an Inspection Shaft will cause problems and I would recommend to keep the area always clear for it's intended purpose.

Sewer Pipe Repairs
With many reoccurring drain blockages the drain has been broken by tree roots, vehicle traffic or ground movement. Sure regular use of a drain machine can get the problem cleared away but it comes back again. This is the time to do repairs or replacement of the troubled section. Old earthenware sewer piping is still in many of Perth's older suburbs, a great choice of product dating back to the Romans. Now days it's all PVC piping so whether just a small section needs replacing or doing the whole property sewer it's the way to go. We commonly get involved in such jobs with a 100% success rate. Sewer Conversions
It's hard to believe that all of Perth is not serviced with underground sewerage mains. Yes parts of Perth's elite suburb City Beach still operate septic tanks systems. When the sewer is put in the home owners are asked to connect into the Ministers sewer. This is called a sewer conversion. These can be very tricky as the house will have many structures, trees and obstacles between the old septic system and the connection point provided.
